Regent Releases New Details on Seven Seas Explorer
Regent Seven Seas Cruises will add a new ship to its fleet in the summer of 2016. The Seven Seas Explorer will have glass staircases, marble flooring in the lobby and a crystal chandelier.
Where to Sleep
The 3,875-square-foot Regent Suite has a spa retreat with sauna and steam room. However, the best amenity in this suite is the outdoor, glass-enclosed deck called the Vista Garden. This seating area gives guests a 270-degree view over the ship’s bow.
Where to Eat
Regent’s signature steakhouse, Prime 7, will be aboard the new ship along with other restaurants, including Compass Rose and La Verada. Compass Rose will act as the ship’s main dining room, and Italian inspired dishes will be served at La Veranda using buffet-style during the day. At dinner La Veranda will become Sette Mari at La Veranda and will expose guests to a fine dining experience.
Where to Go for Entertainment
The 694-seat Constellation Theater offers guests cabaret-style seating with cocktail tables intermixed. The Observation Lounge gets inspiration from the Roaring Twenties with a signature bar, dance floor, floor-to-ceiling windows and rich color scheme. Lastly, the Explorer Lounge is a more relaxed setting with wood accents, leather chairs and a stage for live music.
The maiden voyage of the Seven Seas Explorer will be a 14-night cruise from Monte Carlo to Venice. The ship will remain in Europe for the rest of the season.
